Completely lazed around Sunday morning
- watched trashy British soap operas and hung out in pajamas. Made it
out of the Hotel just in time for our 2pm call time for the London Eye.
(above) As you can see (behind the statue of Boadaceia)
the London Eye is a massive ferris wheel. Fun!
The line was long (even
with tickets it was half an hour or so queueing along, following a group
of High School students from CT) and finally we got into our pod with
about 12 other people.
(Above) On out way up- the view of the pod right
next to/above us.
(Above) Still on the way up, looking down through
the wheel.
(Above) Tiff and me, with Big Ben in the background.
(Above) Okay, it's the same view twice - once with
sun, once without much. But it was really pretty, okay?
(above) Tess and Jen, again posing gamely
After our time on the
eye we did some wandering some shopping. It was cold and rainy (in London?
go figure....)and Jen bought a cheap scarf to keep warm. While the scarf
seemed okay early on, after a couple of hours the nastiness of it asserted
itself to a point where she could no longer wear it.
(Above) Jen, looking disgustedly at the scarf
That night the three of
us went to dinner at Jen's friend Louise's house - good food, good company,
a quiet good end to a great trip!
