procrastination with a purpose - the valentines mixes are here!

Yet another evening of homework procrastination, but this time with worthy results. Yup, you guessed it - the production of this year's valentines/ anti-valentines mixes. This year on CD instead of tape, but still the normal mix of songs old and new (to me, at least).

Anti-Valentines Mix

The anti-valentines day mix started with a post break up gift from my high school friend Stacy. I'd just ended it with my first real boyfriend and it was winter and every fucking song I heard on the radio was about how in love everyone else was. The tape she sent me was full of relieved, angry, hurt, wise, vengeful, exuberant songs that mirrored the emotions that were rolling over me. This year's mix is the usual combination of I-was-always-too-good-for-you-anyways and I-know-this-had-to-end-but-I-wish-things-had-gone-differently.
