Reading (perhaps quality): Just finished Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood by Marjane Satrapi and started Understanding Power: The Indispensable Chomsky by Noam Chomsky, et al

Totally wiped out on Saturday while taking my laundry down the stairs, down a couple of blocks, across the lawn and into the laundry room. The laundry bag broke my fall but my knees are totally thrashed. Cleaned them up with some hydrogen peroxide (how could I have forgotten how much that stuff burns?) and bandaged them but a day later they're royally bruised and scraped and sore - took a picture to put up but its bad enough that I have to look at them without having to inflict that pain on the rest of the internet.

Otherwise? Had a wonderful time on Thursday with Heather - dinner and tea at Teaism with the kind of joyous and cleansing conversation I'm lucky enough to have with such an old good friend. The rest of the weekend I spent hanging out with friends (Carpool on Friday, Fado on Saturday). Some really funny and some cool stuff I won't detail here (that whole who's reading bit). Still trying to figure out what I'm looking for in a number of areas in my life and after this weekend I feel like something's turned and (knock on wood) some seriously good times are on the way.

Doing (life and related tasks): Just sent out the evite for this year's Three King's Day party. Moderately busy week at work scheduled.

Doing (crafty stuff): Frogged a couple of scarves and reworked them into ones I like a lot better.

Wanting: Some help putting my Christmas decorations up. Its just a lot more fun to do with other people.

Anticipating: Holiday parties, dinners out with friends, finishing Christmas shopping, oh my!
