Okay, the snow has been a drag in a
lot of ways. I've had to cancel and re-make a weekend's worth of plans,
missed seeing folks who live farther away than a walk, etc etc etc.
But one thing that I've absolutely totally thoroughly loved? Walking
through the snow drifts.
Its not fun if its far, but for a short
distance, wading through hip-high snow is a blast. And totally worth
the wet jeans when you get home. Last night after being out with Laura
et al I trekked home from Clarendon through the park.
(Above) Even in my warm apartment, was caked with ice to the
ankle, soaked to the calf, wet to the knee, damp to mid thigh.
(Above) That ice caking, close-up.
Had some melting today, but they're
talking another storm this week so no doubt there's more tromping around
in the future.

Doing (life and related tasks): Enjoying
being snowed in.
Doing (crafty stuff): Finishing valentines
and berets.
Wanting: To be able to see folks who live
further than walking distance away.
Anticipating: Since work is canceled manana,
a crazed short work week.
