Because the long timeline of knitted projects was driving me crazy, I started doing embroidery. With the spate of bridal showers I started embroidering things for people right and left, didn't take photos. Have started remedying that. Note: unless otherwise stated patterns are from the ever fabulous Sublime Stitching (http://www.sublimestitching.com/). Snakes! (11/04)
What: a pair of napkins Colors: Four colors (medium green, golden yellow, light grey, red). When: All part of the Christmas-Present-Making madness. Except these may be for me - they're that cool. Cheesecake (11/04)

What: a flour sack tea towel Colors: Five colors (red, gold, orange, dark blue, light blue). When: Didn't mean to get more-than-vaguely religious here, it just happened. Tropical Drinks (12/03)
What: dishtowel - a friggin huge dishtowel but one nonetheless. Colors: Seven colors (dark brown, medium brown, orange, pale green, charteuse, medium green, medium blue). When: a christmas present. On Display: gave it to kswea. Meow (6/03)
What: linen shell with embroidery on the back left shoulder Colors: Three (light gray, dark gray, pale green) When: after the towel (above). Have seen a bunch of cool embroidered shirts around lately and wanted to give it a try - I haven't worn this shell in a while so figured if it didn't work it wouldn't be a loss. The position of the embroidery was so I could still wear it to work (with a jacket). (First) Worn: planning to wear it this week sometime. |
