Where to even start?

snow! snow! snow!

The party yesterday was a blast. Had fewer people due to the snow but that just meant that I got to have a actual conversations with guests. The king cakes turned out funky but the mulled wine rocked. SS the SS was an angel and spent the first hour or so (or longer?) in the kitchen brewing things up for people while I tried to flit from conversation to conversation, floored at having so many of my favorite people in one place. Numbers wavered from probably 15 at a high point, by the sweet (not bitter) end there were just four of us hanging out. Bliss.

Did I take any pictures? No. But my mental images of everyone standing talking drinking and laughing as the daylight faded are strong enough for me (for now).

snow! snow! snow!

Did manage to send a thank you e-mail -

Thanks to everyone - those who braved the weather and made it, those who tried but were stymied by unevenly plowed roads, and those who looked out at the falling snow and were thankful they'd already sent regrets. It was a great time and I promise next year to actually have king cakes!

There were several Christmas presents left (not for me, alas ; ) If you're missing something, let me know and I'll bring it next time we meet up.

So, as you see, the party lives on...

snow! snow! snow!

Other than that?

Work has been crazy. Am working on making this monster PDF accessible using a screen reader. This sounds like it should be easy, and the documentation from Adobe makes it look like it would be so. But yet again, documentation lies. Using the "Make Accessible" function on the form added tags but those tags were in an constellation that sounded nothing like the actual form. It's enough to make my head spin. On the way home picked up a couple of books on Acrobat - am meeting with someone at work who's an expert on this and would like to have some kind of idea how to fix the damn thing.

Have a busy week planned. Between planning meetings for the upcoming event at the Sewall-Belmont House and gatherings with friends (movies and coffee and drinks, oh my!) am thoroughly booked. Perfect.

Off to sleep. Am feeling a little tired and am hoping to continue my two night string of good-sleeping nights. Wish me luck!

a m. just a m

Doing (life and related tasks): Still cleaning up from the party yesterday, am busy at work and of course have overscheduled myself in general.

Doing (crafty stuff): Nothing right now. Sad, I know.

Wanting: Actually slept well the last couple of nights. Right now I'd really like a copy of Adobe Acrobat so I can work on those damn forms here at home instead of just having them at the office.

Anticipating: continuing busyness at work, further catching up with friends during the week, Demmert's Christmas present on Saturday.

last one everything else what I'm working on on to the dailies all (well some) about me back to the index page next one
