Feeling much better. Still completely
swamped but better.
Work has been crazy busy - am working
on several large projects all coming together at once. Makes my head
hurt and Lord knows though I work hard and can keep things straight
in my head I'm starting to lose the ends of things. So many small tasks
that are undone it's driving me crazy - the kinds of things I forget
about during the day and then wake me up late at night when I can't
really do anything about them.
Had a great time at dinner last night
with Marie. We met up for half-priced burgers
at Whitlows; caught up on the past few weeks (she's been busy I've been
busy) and did some shopping (nothing very appealing over at the bookstore
or Ann Taylor). Then went home and cleaned up around the apartment while
blasting music.
That's the best way to clean, with
music on loud. I remember being little and helping my mom clean the
house on saturday mornings; the music would either be something in spanish
(Flaco Jimenez, different New Mexico bands) or showtunes-ish ("Fiddler
on the Roof" and Bette Midler's "The Divine Miss M" stick
out in my head). We'd dance and sing along while vacumming or sweeping
or washing. A good way to make a boring job pass quickly.
So that's what I was doing last night,
blasting my new Weezer CD as I washed dishes and swept the floor. Definitely
a good time. (Wow, I do need to get out more.)
