Listening: Cinematic by Erin McKeown
Reading (perhaps quality): Persuasive
Technology by BJ Fogg. Read Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver
and Catherine Empress of All the Russias by Vincent Crown over
the weekend. Yeah, I guess I am trying to impress you.
Reading (definitely pulp): Nothing.
Drinking: White wine that is almost too
old to drink.

No lights on except for the christmas
tree ones and whatever's radiating off of my computer screen. The lightning
outside is providing the rest.
This is the first thunderstorm this
summer that I've been able to enjoy. There was one a couple of weeks
ago but I was caught in it - walking home soaked through may have been
fun some other time but with blistered feet (from party shoes) and groceries
in hand the wind and fat raindrops were a nuisance.
Not so tonight. Am home snug with the
wind swirling around, drops hitting the windows and lightning flashes
occasionally winking. Thunder sounds are muffled by the CD, the cieling
fan is working well enough so there's no need for the air conditioner
and I think this wine'll be fine to drink for one more day.
Life is pretty good.

Have been crazy busy lately.
Last weekend was the bridal shower/
bachelorette extravaganza for Am. Great
to see her and completely worth the trip out to California. As
a bonus got to see the family (including my adorable blonde blonde
year old nephew) and had plenty of time to read on all the plane
flights. The Catherine book (right) was a victim of some
juicy raspberries along the way but with her history it seemed
more appropriate to leave it.

Otherwise? Busy with work. Getting
back into hanging out with friends I haven't seen in a while (Bibi,
Beley, Talullah).
Going to the gym. Coping with my allergies. Looks boring there on the
page but it's been satisfying in real life. Except for the allergies
- those really suck.

Doing (life and related tasks): Recouping
from the weekend away.
Doing (crafty stuff): New design for summer
was about all I could muster tonight.
Wanting: Not sure, but something.
Anticipating: Tess and Troy's wedding,
getting to hang out with the fam, the summer solstice toga pary next
weekend.
