Listening: Little Red Book by Cordalene. I'm embarrassed to admit just how much I love that song.

Reading (perhaps quality): The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera. Have owned it for a while but just started it this week. Dreamy and very very good.

Reading (definitely pulp): Nada.

Drinking: As much water as I can.

Sunday I'm having like 80 million people (okay about 40, but in my small apartment that's like 80 million) over for my annual Three Kings Day Party. Its a post-holiday holiday party open house complete with king cake, people I haven't seen in a long time, mulled cider/wine and the inevitable stragglers who are lazing on my couch until late. (Seriously. I've had the party twice and its happened both times. Luckily the gang is all so charming I barely noticed.)

But I am really excited for this year. We'll see who actually shows but there are a bunch of old good friends I haven't seen in over a year (eeeeek) and several different groups of people (work, grad school, old housemates, friends-of-friends, undergrad, sorority, etc). It always works out well and Marie is was over last night to help me bake. Thank goodness, because other than cleaning (some) I've done like no prep yet. Eeeeek, again.

summertime and the living is easy

You know, otherwise not a heck of a lot has been going on. Really happy with work (excited about my about-to-start detail). Looking forward to taking a spanish class over at USDA. Enjoying seeing friends. Things are quiet but very good right now at the start of the year and I'm hoping that's a good sign of things to come.
