highway outside.

The Annotated Alice by Martin Gardner (Introduction), Lewis Carroll
(Author), John Tenniel (Illustrator). Just finished (and loved loved
loved) To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

Adding to the admissions that somehow
make my current dating life totally understandable - just went to the
dentist today for the first time in a long time.
Well, actually went last week when
(I kid you not) he told me that I'm lucky I have such large strong lovely
teeth but I needed to get one of those special cleanings. So today was
the first half of that cleaning. A hint to everyone at home - when the
term "scaling" is used to refer to something someone's going
to do to your teeth, it's serious. I mean, I have a half numb face now,
several hours later.
The process though, wasn't that bad.
I was such a damn baby when he came at me with the needle that I thought
he was going to make me wait in the waiting room until I got a hold
of myself but once he got going it was quick. And by the end I was so
hopped up on adrenaline I was humming anyways.
Wait - just felt a big chunk of numbness
go away. Doesn't hurt yet but I can really feel the inside of my mouth
again. Better take a break and get myself some ibuprofen.
