Listening: Social Aid and Pleasure Club
by the Subdudes. Those are two things we'd all like to see plenty more of.
Reading (perhaps quality): Trying yet again
to read The Diary of Anais Nin, Vol. 1: 1931-1934. Made it through
about 20 pages last night.
Reading (definitely pulp): Nada.
Drinking: Tap water.

7:31 pm
Things I learned today -
- At about 7:30 am - if you're
on the metro and listening to your iPod loud enough you can be aware
of your sniffling but not really hear it. Its not nice for other people
but some mornings that's about as polite as I can be.
- At about 11 am - A black
cherry cough drop + a cup of ginger tea = less nasty than one would
originally think. A black cherry cough drop + a cup of coffee, on
the other hand? Surprisingly much less pleasant.
- At about 4:30 pm - "Electric
Donkeys" is a term in the Thesaurus for Graphic Materials (for
you non-librarian types, its a tool for indexing visual materials
by subject and genre/format). Not that I doubt images of electric
donkeys exist, I'm just surprised that there are enough of them to
warrant an entire heading of their own.
- About 15 minutes ago - if
they're all pushed up and out, look down unexpectedly and even your
own breasts can startle you.
Still coughing some but
feeling infinitely better - the cough is with me mostly at night, but
enough during the day to remind me its still there. The sneezing around
enough to be almost cute. Almost.
(above) My desk. Look - no tissues in sight (or even just out of
the frame)!
Lots going on this weekend
- looking forward to seeing folks old and new. Can't wait!

Doing (life and related tasks): Planning
out the weekend, trying to get realistic not pessimistic about what
I can get done.
Doing (crafty stuff): Making vows to write
this weekend (see above).
Wanting: The final(?) bits of this cold
gone.
Anticipating: Until Three Kings is done,
you know its what I'm looking forward to.
